About Q.PPT

How it started

Born post-COVID lockdown, Harriet, Xanthe and Thom were looking for a way to bring the queer community out of their houses by curating a night of niche obsessions, burning passions, and deeply camp storytelling - turning the world’s daggiest software  into a playground for queer creativity. Since the first starwipe, it’s been true love, for audiences and presenters alike.

How it’s going

We’re always doing new shows across the country, and even internationally, finding beautiful weirdos wherever we go to share their incredible minds via PowerPoint. Celebrating the creativity of diverse artists, arts workers, and the LGBTQIA+ community, QPPT defies categorization and has been embraced by a wide array of venues, including Biennales, Taiwanese nightclubs, Museums, the Sydney Opera House, a park in Darwin, Festivals, Libraries, and even a queer funeral home in Hurstville.

This is not just a series of presentations, it’s a mode of disseminating culture, and of bringing people together. We have started running workshops (URL + IRL) and are starting a residency model where we support queers to literally deep dive into institutions and share what they discover with the world.
